St. Patrick's Day

I love love love St. Patrick's Day.  I love that a leprechaun comes and plays pranks!  The leprechaun that comes to our house is name Logan the Lucky Leprechaun.

Logan peed in our toilet and turned our water green!  My 3 year boy boys literally thought that was the funniest thing EVER!  Where ever Logan played a prank, he left gold chocolate coins!

After the peeing incident Logan did pranks from turning the milk green to leaving rainbow candy.

The boys had rainbow pancakes for breakfast.  We just used a homemade pancake recipe, divided the batter into 4 cups and added the food coloring and cooked it up!

We made Lucky Charms treats!

Recipe: we used a 3-4-5 method!

Ingredients:
-3 tbsp butter
-4 cups mini marshmallows
-5 cups Lucky Charms cereal

Directions:
1. Put marshmallows and butter in microwave safe bowl, and nuke for 30 secs at a time until creamy and combined when stirred.
2. Once melted, pour in cereal and mix until well-coated.
3. Press cereal mixture into a greased 9 x 9 pan, you can use 9 x 13 for thinner bars!
4. Cool, cut and serve!

I also made rainbow bread!

Recipe:

2 cups flour
2 tablespoons corn flour
1 egg yolk plus milk to equal 3/4 cup
2 tablespoons soften butter
1 1/2 teaspoon fast yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar

1.  Warm milk and egg yolk, stir, and add yeast and sugar.
2.  Mix flour salt butter in bowl.
3.  Add the milk/Yolk mix and kneed until no longer sticky!
4.  Divide into 7 balls of dough.
5.  Add food coloring to make red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple balls
6.  Let raise 30 mins covered with moister paper towel.
7.  Punch down and let raise again 20 mins covered.
8.  Make one of the  original color bread into a tube.
9.  Roll out red and cover the bread color tube with it.  Continue this process with each color.  Lastly cover it with the originally colored bread.
10. Place bread in well greased bread pan and let raise 1 hour, once again covered.
11. Place bread in 400 degree oven for 30-35 mins.
12. Let bread cool in pan for 5 mins and place on counter/cutting board to cool.
